Annapolis, MD – This week’s Supreme Court ruling in the landmark Obergefell v. Hodges case is an enormous victory on the long road to equality for every person. The ruling, which affirms that the U.S. Constitution extends the institution of marriage to all couples, straight or gay, is the capstone on a tireless effort throughout the states to achieve full marriage equality.

Annapolis, MD – Today Senator Roger Manno and Delegate Jim Proctor, joint chairs of the Spending Affordability Committee, sent a letter to the Board of Public Works (BPW) to block Governor Hogan’s inappropriate transfer of $5,955,264 from the state’s Contingent Fund to the Revenue Stabilization Account (“Rainy Day Fund”), and subsequently to the Catastrophic Event Account.
Bryan Sears reports: “Montgomery County Sen. Roger Manno may not be the biggest fan of Gov. Larry Hogan’s plan to explore bringing high speed magnetic levitation trains to Maryland.
Manno struck a subtly mocking tone during a question and answer presentation with state Transportation Sec. Pete K. Rahn in which the senator referred to the proposed maglev train as a “floating train” no fewer than seven times.”
