Rund, President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Maryland. “You have the leadership, skills and experience that I believe will continue to make you a great leader in the United States Congress.” In their individual endorsement, the Hagerstown Professional Firefighters (IAFF Local 1605) President Justin Malott stated “The Hagerstown Professional Firefighters is proud and honored to give you our endorsement and support. We thank you for your service to the Fire professionals and look forward to working with you in the future.”
Speaking on behalf of the Maryland Fraternal Order of Police, President Vince Canales stated “Your dedication and principled beliefs in equality for all Marylanders made you an invaluable leader in the Maryland General Assembly and will make you an invaluable leader in the United States House of Representatives.”
Manno’s record on behalf of first responders is extensive, including unwavering work to protect collective bargaining, and passage of legislation to protect benefits and expand cancer coverage within those benefits. He is the recipient of awards from both the Maryland FOP and the Montgomery County IAFF Local 1664, was twice awarded Legislator of the Year by AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades unions, and has the unpresidented distinction of being made an honorary member of 2 AFL-CIO unions.
